There’s a lot to cover in this week’s new additions, so let’s dive straight in.

Freshly IPO’d 🎉

These companies recently listed on the NASDAQ, and are now on your app:

  • nCino $NCNO — This financial technology company provides a cloud-based platform. Headquartered in North Carolina, it has offices globally.
  • GoHealth $GOCO — This company operates an online platform that lets people find health insurance and medicare plans.

Latin American companies

This week’s batch of new stocks contains a large number of companies that are active in Latin America, including some of the biggest banks, telecommunications and energy firms in the region. Some of the companies now on Freetrade are:

  • Ambev $ABEV — The largest bottler of PepsiCo drinks outside of the US. Ambev is also responsible for selling Stella Artois and Skol in numerous Latin American countries.
  • America Movil $AMX — The largest telecoms business in Latin America. It was founded by Mexican businessman Carlos Slim, who is often ranked as the richest person in the world.
  • Petrobas $PBR — Brazil’s most (in)famous energy company. The government remains a majority shareholder in the business.

Video games

We’re adding three companies active in different parts of the video game industry.

  • Gfinity $GFIN — This firm is active in esports. It provides consulting services to other gaming companies, helps organise tournaments and hosts gaming content on its website.
  • Huya $HUYA — You’ve heard of Twitch but have you heard of Huya? This firm lets people watch others play video games or stream themselves playing. Oh, and it also has nearly 200 million users in China.
  • Turtle Beach $HEAR — This firm makes different pieces of hardware for gamers. Its speciality is headsets and it makes them for every major games console.

Investment trusts

There are a bunch of new investment trusts being added to the app today too. Here are a couple that might peak your interest.

  • Fundsmith Emerging Equities Trust £FEET — As its name suggests, this trust is run by Fundsmith, the company that’s overseen by respected investor Terry Smith. This trust invests in consumer businesses that are active in emerging markets.
  • Henderson International Income Trust £HINT — This trust is aimed at diversifying UK-focused portfolios by investing in companies outside of the country.

Other new additions

  • Yelp $YELP — The go-to website for leaving business reviews.
  • Weight Watchers $WW — This company has been helping people lose weight with diet plans, support groups and healthy food since 1963.

  • Bed Bath & Beyond $BBBY — This firm runs a chain of home goods stores that sell everything you need for your bed, bath and beyond.
  • Seeing Machines £SEE — This company specialises in making artificial intelligence technology with a goal to develop "machine empathy". It's products are primarily for use in vehicles to aid in detecting fatigued and distracted driving.
