Referring friends and earning free shares just got easier. 🎉
You can now invite all your friends to Freetrade without waiting for new invite links to be generated.
What is Free Share?
With Free Share, both you and your friend will get a free mystery share once your friend opens and funds their account.
To refer a friend, tap on the pink ‘Free shares’ button on the top right of your Portfolio tab and send a unique referral link to a friend:
Each link is still one-time use, but you can create as many as you want.
To refer more friends, simply create a new referral link straight in your app:
And you can also check on the status of your referral by tapping on any of your links (yes, that means you can bug your friend with a WhatsApp if they haven’t completed signup yet 😉)
Make sure to update your app to the latest version to get access.
After you refer your friend:
- Your friend needs to complete onboarding and fund their account within the next 30 days in order for you and your friend to qualify.
- Your mystery share will appear in your queued orders. We’ll reveal it in 7 to 10 days.
- Your free shares will be randomly selected from a pool of interesting companies, ETFs, and trusts, with a value from £3 to £200.
