Yesterday we set a new record as the first company on Crowdcube to raise £6m, £7m or £8m (EUR 9.5m) in less than six hours.
We reached £5m in private mode from previous investors and those who had signed up for early access.
After less than six hours of the round being open to the public, we hit £8m with investors from 63 countries taking part in the round. The UK portion of the raise is now closed to investment.
Freetrade in Europe
Ahead of Freetrade’s expansion into Europe, we are excited that the round is still available to investors in Europe and the rest of the world.
This is a unique opportunity for EU investors to own a piece of an established and high-growth fintech ahead of its international launch.
As a British business regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and in the process of getting regulated by Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority, we have grown to become the UK’s fastest growing investment platform for retail investors, with over 1.1 million UK users and £1bn in Assets Under Administration.
There is a EUR 8 million cap for investors in Europe and the rest of the world. European jurisdictions have a range of different limits on investment and this allocation remains open until all shares have been sold or the campaign comes to a close.
Exclusive new rewards
As part of the ongoing raise, we’re excited to announce some brand new rewards:
£1k: Get access to our limited private beta launch in upcoming country launches. Available if you are resident there.
£5k: Get paid premium services, like tax-wrapped accounts, in upcoming country launches, for free, for a year. Available if you are resident there.
£10k: Our paid premium services, like tax-wrapped accounts, for free, forever. And everything from the previous tiers.
These rewards are in addition to the existing rewards on offer, which include exclusive access to Freetrade’s first NFT. Yes, we just went ‘ooh’ too.
Thanks to everyone for your ongoing support, and welcome all new investors to the Freetrade investor community.
Important: Investing in startups and early-stage businesses involves risks, including illiquidity, lack of dividends, loss of investment and dilution, and it should be done only as part of a diversified portfolio. Always remember to look at the risk warning on Crowdcube’s website before investing. Make sure you do your own research on what investments are right for you before investing.
