Freetrade social media competition terms and conditions

  1. The promoter is: Freetrade Ltd (company no 09797821) whose registered office is at 32-38 Leman St, London E1 8EW (“Freetrade” “we” “us”).

  1. Our social media competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Freetrade or its holding or subsidiary companies, their close relatives or anyone otherwise professionally connected with Freetrade or the judging of any competition.

  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter our competitions and there is no charge to register for use of Freetrade’s website.

  1. By entering any of our competitions, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions and any further terms and conditions for any specific competition set out in Freetrade’s Twitter or Instagram channels.

  1. Opening and closing dates for entry as well as details of how to enter any of our competitions and the prizes available will be specified on the social media post for each competition on Freetrade’s Twitter or Instagram channels. After the specified closing date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

  1. Participants must follow @freetrade on Twitter or Instagram to be eligible to win a prize in any of our competitions.

  1. In entering any of our competitions, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Freetrade may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the relevant competition.

  1. Only one entry to a competition will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

  1. Freetrade will not accept: (a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

  1. Prizes for competitions will be specified in the relevant social media posts. The prize is as stated and winners are not entitled to cash or other alternatives. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  1. Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Freetrade and or its agents.  

  1. Winners will be notified by email and/or direct message on Twitter/Instagram and/or letter (consistent with their method of competition entry) within 28 days of the closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Freetrade reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

  1. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image (if applicable) in any Freetrade publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with these terms and conditions and Freetrade’s Privacy Policy found at 

  1. If you object to any or all of your information being used in the manner described in these terms and conditions, please contact Freetrade at   In such circumstances, Freetrade must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  1. Once a competition has ended, Freetrade must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, Freetrade will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable, copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails within one month after the applicable closing date of the competition.

  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Freetrade may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in a competition.

  1. Freetrade reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend a prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

  1. Freetrade’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. 

  1. All competitions and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
