You can now own a piece of Ed Sheeran

Following last week’s cannabis stocks, and the recent batch of 250 US stocks, it’s time to introduce some more new additions to your Freetrade app.

If you’re an Ed Sheeran or Lizzo fan, it’s going to be music to your ears.

Freshly IPO'd

Compared to 2019’s IPO bonanza, this year has been a fairly quiet one.

There have, however, been a couple of recent IPOs which we’ve just added.

Warner Music — $WMG

One of the ‘big three’ record labels alongside Sony BMG and Universal, Warner Music listed on the NASDAQ last week and has since seen a spike in its share price.

Warner is home to the likes of Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Lizzo and Cardi B. It also houses the vast back catalogues of legendary recording artists like ABBA, Led Zeppelin and Art Garfunkel (ask your Dad).

Nikola Motor Company — $NKLA

A sensation in the world of electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles, Nikola Motor Co is a little different from other carmakers. That’s because it hasn’t actually built any cars yet, nor does it actually own a factory.

That didn’t stop it IPO’ing in March 2020 at a valuation of almost $40 billion. 👀

The travel industry

Travel has been among the industries hardest hit by the impact of COVID-19.

Many airlines have been essentially grounded due to closed borders and social distancing rules, while the majority of hotel beds and Airbnbs have been empty for months. There have, however, been some signs that the travel industry is slowly reopening.

Highly requested by our community, we’ve added four US airline giants and two cruise companies:
