That’s why, for International Women’s Day 2021, we’re shining a light on the gender investing gap.
There is a long way to go to address the gender investing gap, and we’re proud to see that the percentage of female Freetrade users has more than tripled from 6% to 19% in the last year.
We’ll also be celebrating female investors and business leaders to highlight their significant contribution to various industries, and sharing the stories of female Freetrade investors.
When it comes to female leaders of public companies, the statistics show the stark gap of women in CEO roles compared to men:

This highlights the work that still needs to be done, which starts with awareness and open conversations to champion more forms of female leadership in our society.
And on Wednesday at 6 PM, we’re hosting a special Women in Tech chat, featuring some female Freetrade team members and other women in tech discussing their career journeys into tech.
We’ll be sharing these stories across our blog and social media channels this week, so keep your eyes peeled.
